The history of Domaine Roses Camille begins in Pomerol in 2005, when Christophe Bardeau, 5th generation man of the land, decided to create his estate on a small plot, of only 1 ha, on the family property.
Domaine Roses Camille, bordered by the very famous Château l'Eglise Clinet, Château Rouget and La Violette estates, benefits from an exceptional terroir.
The soil is mainly composed of blue clay, as well as yellow and black gravel interspersed with iron deposits. This vein of blue clay coming from Vieux Château Certan flows into La Violette, and finally into Domaine Roses Camille.
The vineyard is made up of 100% Merlot, around 60 years old, with even a plot of century-old Merlot on the family property.
One of the particularities of this Domaine is that all production is made in kosher, apart from the 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 vintages.
The first vintage of Domaine Roses Camille, the 2005 vintage produced in only 900 bottles, was widely acclaimed by the specialized press (Decanter and Wine Spectator) and was even qualified by the famous wine critic Daniel Rogov, who has since sadly passed away, of “probably the best kosher wine ever made from Bordeaux” and gave it a fabulous score of 95!
Domaine Roses Camille has been served in prestigious palaces as well as at some of the most beautiful starred restaurants such as the Four Seasons Hotel George V (Paris), La Réserve Genève ( Geneva), Port Palace of Monaco (Monte Carlo), La Tour d’Argent (Paris), Restaurante Zalacaín (Madrid).
