About Terra di Seta
Terra di Seta is a family-run winery nestled in the hills at 450 m above sea level in the Siena area, 80 km from Florence.
It is a sunny and windy place, with warm days and cool summer nights, ideal for the ripening of Sangiovese grapes, the most important variety in Tuscany.
Terra di Seta was founded in 2001 by Daniele della Seta and his wife Maria Pellegrini, following an organic farming method from the beginning. During the first years they grew their own grapes and sold them to local producers and in 2007 Daniele and Maria started producing their own wine. A year later, in 2018, they decided to make all their production kosher, and it is now one of the very few wineries in the world, apart from Israel, to produce all their wines exclusively kosher (they also produce a grappa but it is not kosher).
Terra di Seta is well known for the high quality of their wines, which are regularly awarded with excellent scores at international competitions.
Apart from wine, Terra di Seta also produces, from the olive trees on the property, an excellent organic olive oil and honey. They also have guest rooms on the property and even a kosher restaurant where you can enjoy delicious typical dishes of the region. A truly unique experience!
About Guiduccio
Guiduccio is a supertuscan wine, a special selection chosen and created by the Pellegrini Della Seta family, in collaboration with its winemaker Enrico Paternoster. The family has been producing wine in Tuscany for several generations and, by tradition, also for this special wine, the best grapes from the Tuscan vineyards have been selected. The name "Guiduccio" is the nickname of Guido, a very important first name in the family for five generations. Like this name, handed down over time, this wine is the result of a project born and developed a few years ago, it is created to last over time, to give deep and persistent emotions, and to remain in the memories for a long time. As with all the wines of Terra di Seta, as well as with the members of the family bearing this name, Guiduccio is a wine of great character and elegance.
