The Recanati Special Reserve is Recanati Winery's flagship wine; it is a superb, rich, and complex wine, produced from a rigorous selection and hand-harvested with the utmost care, of the highest-quality grapes from the Mediterranean vineyards of the Upper Galilee in northern Israel.
The Recanati Special Reserve is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with a small amount of Petite Sirah and Syrah, which gives it its complexity; It was aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels.
The Recanati Special Reserve 2017 received a very high score of 94/100 from Wine Enthusiast!
About Recanati Winery
Recanati Winery was established in 2000 by Lenny Recanati and Uri Shaked. Their aim was to create a new winery which would produce original, quality Israeli wine. Recanati Winery philosophy is to produce local and original wines, wines that will best express the local terroir.
The winery has vineyards in the best growing areas in the country, and is very particular about growing unique Mediterranean varieties such as Petite Sirah, Marselan and Carignan and local varieties (Marawi), while simultaneously nurturing classic international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and others.
