Château Malmaison, located in the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation, is one of the oldest estates in the Médoc where the presence of vines dates back to the Middle Ages.
This property adjoining Château Clarke was acquired in 1973 by Baron Edmond de Rothschild, who renovated the building and restructured the vineyard. The magnificent gardens that make up the estate were created by Baroness de Rotschild. Covering an area of 33 hectares, the clay-limestone soil is ideal for planting Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The vinification of the wines is done in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. The wine is aged for 16 months in barrels, 30% of which are new.
