The Yiron range is the flagship of Galil Mountains Winery's wines. Aged in oak barrels, Galil Yiron is a rich and complex wine, which expresses the full potential of the Upper Galilee vineyards.
The Yiron 2018 is a blend of 50% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 7% Petit Verdot and displays a degree of 14.5% alcohol. It has a ruby black color. The aromas and flavors that emerge are mainly aromas of prune, blackcurrant, fresh rosemary, with a full tannic body, lively and dry.
The final note is quite peppery, long and nuanced, and suggests blueberry and cigar. Salty and herbaceous notes mingle with hints of vanilla in this wine which culminates with a long and complex finish.
The ideal food and wine pairing? Entrecôtes, or Teriyaki beef.
