Golan Heights Winery

Golan Heights Winery is an award-winning winery located in the Golan Heights region of Israel, in the town of Katzrin. The winery was founded in 1983 by four kibbutzim in the region and has since become one of Israel's leading wineries, with distribution in more than 30 countries around the world. The 4 kibbutzim sought to develop a new industry in the region, which was previously known for its apple orchards. They believed that the unique climate and terroir of the Golan Heights was ideal for growing wine grapes and decided to create a world-class winery.
Over the years, the estate has won numerous awards and recognitions, including being named "Winery of the Year" by Wine & Spirits magazine in 2012 and 2016. The estate is also known for its sustainable commitment and has implemented a number of environmental measures . respectful practices, such as the use of solar energy and the recycling of wastewater.
Golan Heights Winery produces a wide range of wines under four different labels each with its own style: Yarden, Gamla, Hermon and Golan. Some of their most popular wines include: Yarden Cabernet Sauvignon, Yarden Chardonnay, Gamla Brut, Mount Hermon Red and many more! The Winery also offers numerous tastings on site.
