Agur's Kessem red is a beautiful blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Cabernet Franc, Petit Sirah, Garnacha Tintorera and Syrah. Each variety was fermented separately in used French oak barrels and the assemblage was then aged in larges amphoras that helps, through micro oxygenation, to round the tannins of the wines.
Kessem means "magic" in Hebrew and this unique and charming assemblage reveals floral aromas with a hint of herbs and sour red fruit flavors. It is a medium bodied wine with a pleasant finish.
Kessem can be enjoyed on its own and will perfectly accompany a very broad range of Mediterranean dishes; can be enjoyed slightly chilled.
